Free movement, fall and misnavigation, fall energy and an energy-dense battery create failure modes no other robot segment has. It is also the most data-scarce class, which is why HUMANO-SURE prices against an evidenced operating environment and autonomy level rather than against a category.

    Bodily injury and property damage caused by the mobile robot in proximity to people.

  2. Machinery and hull

    Own damage, including fall damage and damage to the battery.

  3. Business interruption

    Loss of deployment of the unit and the additional cost of covering for it.

  4. Autonomy malfunction

    Loss from misnavigation, perception failure or model error, the decision, not only the mechanism.

  5. Battery and fire

    Loss from the energy-dense battery, including fire.

  6. Sensing and privacy

    Loss arising from camera- and sensor-driven data capture in a space occupied by people.

Never covered

  • Operation outside the approved deployment zone or above the approved autonomy level

  • Defects known before inception, and normal wear including battery ageing
  • War, terrorism, nuclear energy, pandemic and sovereign acts

    A defined space and autonomy level the unit is permitted to operate in. The premium couples to it.

    Current, and against ISO 25785-1 once that standard is in force.

  3. Battery safety certification

    For the cell and pack as deployed, not as originally specified.

  4. Telemetry and event logs

    Continuous, retained, and reconcilable to the unit, this class has almost no historical loss data to fall back on.

  5. Fleet accumulation view

    Exposure aggregated by maker, model, fleet and location, because one software update reaches every unit at once.
